- 4 years of practical professional experience, two of these in the field of occupational health and safety management
Format
The written examination consists of multiple-choice questions and takes 60 minutes.
The oral examination consists of a group moderation (solving a case study) per participant (for which 90 minutes are scheduled) and a subsequent presentation including the answering of expert questions (duration of the examination: approx. 20 minutes).
Certificate

Upon successful completion of the examination and submission of proof of practical experience, the candidate will receive the certificate Occupational Health and Safety Systems Manager. |

Additionally, the EOQ Occupational Health and Safety Manager certificate can be issued on request. |
|
|
Additionally, the complementary certificate SHE for Operational Supervisors and the evidence of qualification for Safety Representatives will be issued on request free of charge. |
|
Holders of all three systems manager certificates can obtain the certificate Integrated System Manager on request free of charge. |

Validity of Certificate
3 years
Criteria of extension
- Proof (e.g. letter from employer, interim certification, self-declaration) about 2 years of professional practice in the field of occupational health and safety management within the last 3 years.
- Refresher course for Integrated Management Systems (RIMS) or appropriate qualityaustria training.
Note
- The exact timing of the two assessment days is dependent on the number of participants and may differ from the mentioned times.
- Should it not be possible to provide the proof of practical experience prior to the examination, it is still possible to take the examination. In this case, participants who pass the examination will obtain the certificate Occupational Health and Safety Systems Manager Candidate. As soon as Quality Austria receives the proof of practical experience the certificate will be upgraded free of charge.
- Furthermore, if candidates have insufficient proof of practical experience, it is possible to apply for the EOQ Occupational Health and Safety Manager Junior certificate.
