Overview
The Austria Quality Seal is a distinctive mark and, thanks to continuous quality monitoring, a guarantee for local quality and products of Austrian origin.
For products that are not entirely produced in Austria, the Austrian value share of the costs of the final product (including costs for raw material, semi-finished products, accessories, know-how, etc.) must account for at least 50 percent.
For food items the Austria Quality Seal will be awarded if all processing steps take place in Austria and if the agricultural raw materials determining the value of the product are of Austrian origin. For processed food items generally a tolerance level of up to one third is permitted for raw materials that cannot be produced in Austria.
