Recognised for Excellence (R4E)

• The level Recognised for Excellence / Recognised by EFQM recognises organizations that have already achieved a defined level and advanced maturity by implementing the principles of the EFQM Model.
• Recognised for Excellence / Recognised by EFQM provides a progress review on the way to business excellence and an independent assessment.
• Organizations get to know their present efficiency and effectiveness and set priorities for improvements.
• A profile based on points enables benchmarking with other organizations with a similar maturity.
• The recognition Recognised for Excellence / Recognised by EFQM is documented, published and recognised all over Europe.

• creating a holistic picture of the organization
• motivation to rethink the procedures for managing the organization
• measuring the organizations present efficiency and effectiveness and level of performance
• defining the organization strengths and areas for improvement

Organizations applying

• mostly have implemented 50% of an organizationwide programme for organizational development
• understand the EFQM Model and have already performed at least 1 self-assessment
• have started to use external benchmarks and comparative figures as a basis for identifying their goals
• improve the way of integrating feedback from assessments in planning processes

The assessment is based on the EFQM Model with all the 7 criteria and the RADAR Logic. The assessment will be carried out by two to four external experienced assessors and is based on documentation that has been submitted and the site visit.

• prepare submission document (short description of one organiation or company documentation, no more than 51 pages)
• assessment carried out by 2-4 external experienced assessors
• company specific analysis, site visit, consensus and scoring made by the team of assessors
• feedback report on the level of criteria
• recognition for > 300, 400, 500 points
• In case of success, Quality Austria and EFQM show their recognition by granting the certificate Recognised for Excellence / Recognised by EFQM

Quality Austria will be pleased to give you more detailed information on the exact requirements and the accruing costs.

If the Assessment is successful, the organization will receive the Recognised for Excellence certificate. It is valid for 3 years.

In addition, the international award Recognised by EFQM can be applied for. It is valid for 3 years.

Based on the achieved maturity level this recognition is awarded with 3* (< 300 points), 4* (< 400 points), 5* (< 500 points), 6* (< 600 points) or 7* (< 700 points).

Successful applicants may use the Logo Qualified by EFQM for promotional purposes. Die Recognition will be published in the public register of Quality Austria and will be used for Marketing, Socila Media and PR activities.

Reaching a level of more than 400 points qualifies the organization for the additional recognition as “Exzellentes Unternehmen Österreichs” („Excellent Company of Austria“)
